Anthony Ure

Our beloved Anthony Ure; stepfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and best friend passed on from this beautiful world on August 13th 2021. He is survived by his father Ray Ure Jr., brother Adam Ure, sister Shante Chadburn, nephews Kieran Alexander Chadburn and Tristan Anthony Chadburn, loving partner Ruth Wood and his stepchildren Ethan Aaron Wood, Rachel Ruthanne Wood and Mackenzie Renee Wood. He is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Halladay, Grandmother Janet Ure, Grandfather Ray Ure, Grandfather Robert Royce and Grandmother Barbara Royce. Anthony has a countless number of adoring family and friends that he has left behind. The lives of each of them will never be the same. To know him was to love him. He had a heart of gold. He worked in construction from the time he was 15. Anthony loved to work with his hands and was a true perfectionist. He has worked for Don and Sarah Later for the last 8 years. They treated him like a son of their own. Their lives will forever be changed. Anthony enjoyed coin collecting and was a real rock hound. He liked anything unusual or one of a kind. Anthony loved to see the beauty and individuality of all things. Anthony craved the outdoors. He felt at home in the mountains and loved fishing and camping. The sounds of nature soothed his soul and he noticed every little detail of the beauty around him. Kids of all ages adored him for his playful personality. Anthony was the life of the party and a friend to all he came in contact with. People were drawn to him for his sense of humor, laughter and caring nature. He was always the first to offer a helping hand with a smile. Anthony served as an adoring stepfather to 3 children and loving companion to Ruth for the past 13 years. Flying kites, shooting off rockets, leaf racing down the river, fishing, late night talks, bbq's, family game nights, video gaming and lots of laughter were some of the highlights of their family life together. They all enjoyed every adventure, every laugh and all of the love they shared. The love and memories are beautiful and will forever be cherished. A tribute from his sister: He was just a big smile with the prettiest blue eyes. Being near him you felt loved and safe. He made everything an adventure. Didn't matter if we were going to the grocery store or the zoo. He loved freely and truly. Watching him with my boys and his own children is my most cherished memories. He was thoughtful and the boys still carry around their beetles in resin regularly. He loved life and people. Our hearts will never be whole again. The memories we have with him are priceless. We love and miss you Anthony. A viewing will take place on Tuesday, August 24th from 10:00am to 10:50am at the Ivy House, 550 600 E, Salt Lake City, UT. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am.
