Betty Mendoza Sanchez, Age 65 passed away December 9th, 2015 in her Taylorsville home. She was born November 9th, 1950 in Lubbock, TX to Martin and Maria Florinda Mendoza. She lost her life to a 2 year battle of cancer. She was a single stay at home mother. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and enjoyed having a good time with her brothers and sisters. She had a smile that could light up a room whenever she entered, if you were having a problem her door was always open and she would always have a hot meal with homemade tortillas on the table ready for anybody and everybody. She loved taking care of everyone before herself. If you ever needed a place to lay your head she always made room even when she didn’t have it. She was a loving Mother, Mother-In-Law, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. She Is survived by her 6 sons and 2 daughters: Patrick Alama, Howard Alama, Jacob Alama, Jonathon Alama, Dominick (Johanna) Castillo, Nicholas (Mike) Valdez, Daisy Sanchez, Michelle Mendoza (Terrey), Joseph Mendoza (nephew) , 10 grandkids: Stephanie Rios, Howard Jr. Alama, Tianna Martinez, Jayda Martinez, Brandon Alama, Damarian Castillo, Karissa Cordova, Merissa Castillo, Angellee Valdez, Adalyn Valdez, 2 Great grand kids, 3 Sisters and 6 Brothers: Linda (Thomas) Hernandez, Yolanda (Richard) Gonzalez, Dolores Martin, Louis Mendoza, Abel Mendoza, Jed (Tamara) Mendoza, Mike (Grace) Mendoza, Martin Jr. Mendoza, Paul (Angie) Mendoza. She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father Martin and Maria Florinda Mendoza, 2 Daughters Stephanie Alama, Mandy Sanchez, 5 Sisters and 1 Brother: Candy Mendoza, Lolita Mendoza, Maria Mendoza, Lydia Manzanares, Martina Mendoza, David Mendoza, and a Brother-In- Law Enrique Martin, and 4 Nephews. A viewing will take place on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1 pm. All service will be located at the 20th Ward 3120 W 4700 S West Valley City, Utah We want to thank her Children and Grandchildren and the Great staff at Silverado Hospice for the great care they provided.
