Carol Barth

Carol Barth died Monday, July 19, 2021 of natural causes in Murray, Utah surrounded by loved ones at the age of 87. She was born in Elmira, New York on July 4, 1934 to Dorothy Dix Bennett and George Neal Killpack. Carol married Ralph Richard Barth in the Salt Lake Temple on October 8, 1953. In 2003 they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on a cruise with their dearly loved children. They had five children during their full life together. In 1970, after having her children, she returned to the University of Utah and earned a degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Park City for a short time. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. She served for many years in auxiliary presidencies and teaching positions. In addition to her church service, she worked in PTA, 4-H, on the board of the International Daughters of Utah Pioneers and teaching ESL to Spanish speaking students. She and Ralph served four full-time missions together for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Buenos Aires Argentina, Texas Fort Worth, Santiago Chile Temple, and a service mission in Ruskin, Florida. They also served an inner city mission in downtown Salt Lake City and as stake missionaries before Ralph retired. They created fond memories and lifelong friendships with whom she served. She loved to travel and accomplished her lifelong dream of seeing the United States and the world. Carol is survived by her children: David Barth, Becky Broadhead (Dan), Mary Leatham Conder (Phil), Michael Barth (Matty), and Jonathan Barth. There are eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Lyle, son-in-law Rod and grandchildren Jess and Liezle. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 26 at the Murray 1st Ward, located at 755 E Three Fountains Circle. There will be a viewing at 9:00 am, followed by a service at 10:00 am. Interment will be the same day at the Ferron City Cemetery alongside her husband of 57 years, Ralph R. Barth. Her life was a wonder and filled with varied experience that made this earthly test a great joy. She looks forward to joining her family that went before her and live with her Heavenly Father and elder brother, Jesus Christ. She can not ask any more than this.
