Dale David Hendrickson Jr.

Dale (Jr) David Hendrickson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2023 at his home in Brigham City, Utah surrounded by his loving family. Dale was a remarkable soul who battled health issues for the majority of his adult life with unwavering strength, courage, and faith. Despite the challenges he encountered, he approached life with a positive attitude and determination and inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Dale was born in Logan, Utah on November 25, 1967 to Dale (Sr) R. Hendrickson and Loila (Darrington) Hendrickson. He was the second born and has 4 siblings, Beverly, Scott, Kim, and Tiffany. He grew up on a farm in Corinne, Utah, where he learned many important skills including unwavering dedication, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. Dale graduated from Box Elder High School in 1986. After graduation, he served an LDS mission to Puerto Rico. During his time there, he selflessly dedicated himself to serving the people and sharing the teachings of his faith. Upon returning from his mission, Dale married his high school sweetheart, Shelly Hansen, in the Ogden temple, sealing their love for time and all eternity. Their marriage was a beacon of love, unity, and devotion, built on the foundation of their unwavering commitment to their family. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Dale was a man of many trades and hobbies including digital design work and printing, woodwork, painting, fishing, and building and flying RC airplanes. His shed was a sanctuary where he could indulge his creative spirit and bring all of his visions to life. He ran a local printing company - The Print Shop - for many years in his hometown, where he made many lasting impressions on his community. Family was EVERYTHING to Dale. His love for his wife, children, and grandchildren knew no bounds. He showered them with affection, guidance, and support, always emphasizing the importance of family unity. His devotion to his family was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He delighted in babysitting and playing with his grandchildren, nurturing their curiosity, and teaching them about the world around them. He created a deep bond with each and everyone of them that will forever be cherished. His selflessness knew no limits, and he would go to great lengths to fulfill any request from his wife, children, and grandchildren. They were his world, and his love for them will forever resonate in their hearts. Dale shared an extraordinary bond with his wife that transcended the ordinary. Their connection was not only physical and emotional but also deeply spiritual. They possessed an intuitive understanding of each other, often communicating without the need for words. It was as if their spirits were intertwined, enabling them to anticipate and fulfill each other's needs effortlessly. Their love surpassed the limits of human capacity, a love that was profound and unconditional. From the very beginning, it was evident that they were soulmates, destined to spend time and all eternity together. Dale will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication and commitment to his loved ones has left an indelible mark on all of us. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shelly, his 3 children, Ashley, Damon (Kaitlyn, Allison), and Jace (Alycia), and his 5 grandchildren (along with 2 on the way), Carter, Owen, Ellie, Mary-Jane, and Stetson. The funeral service to honor and celebrate Dale’s life will be held on Friday, June 23rd, 2023, at 11:00 am. Services will take place at the LDS church house located at 650 Andersen Drive in Brigham City. All who knew him are welcome to attend and pay their respects. He will be laid to rest at the Corinne, Utah cemetery. Dale will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love and the power of eternal families. We will forever miss his hand squeezes, reassuring hugs, and encouraging words, but we have found peace in knowing that his spirit has found rest in the embrace of his Heavenly Father.
