Jo Leen Rene' Slack

Jo Leen Rene’ Slack, 62, passed away on October 12th, 2024 in our family’s home in South Jordan, surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 5th, 1962 to John Thorpe and ReNae Wardell (Thorpe) Fletcher. She married Dale Slack. They were married in Murray, Utah on September 10th, 1982. Jo Leen grew up in the Salt Lake valley and graduated from Alta High School in 1980. Jo Leen was a powerful creator. She was a kind, loving mother and wife. She was the most selfless person. She always put others before herself and made sure everyone was taken care of. Her family was her life. She enjoyed camping, adventure, and vacations. She loved the holidays’ and our family traditions. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all her family. She loved many of her co-workers. She created beautiful, stunning, magical things throughout her whole life. Her crafting abilities knew no bounds. Rather it be tole painting, stamping, scrapbooking, sewing, and quilting she excelled at them all. Survived by her loving husband Dale Slack. Her loving father John Thorpe. Her loving mother in law Verdean Slack. Loving children Ashley Brackett (Cameron Brackett) and Nathan Slack. Her loving grandchildren Rain Brackett, Trey Brackett, Isabella Brackett, Weston Slack, Dayton Slack. Loving sisters Terri Nieder and Tammy Clemens. Her loving nieces and nephews. And many others. Preceded in death by her loving parents Robert and RaNae Fletcher. Her loving father in law Paul Slack. Her loving brother Thomas Thorpe and sister Tina Fletcher. Services will be held in her honor Friday October 18th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home 13863 South 2700 West, Bluffdale, Utah 84065.
