She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend. Raelene was born March 23, 1932, to Francis Adolph and Ethel Southwick Hunger in their home in Lehi, Utah. She married Don J Hansen for time and all eternity on March 17, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with five fabulous daughters (The Fab 5). Raelene was preceded in death by her wonderful, loving husband, a cherished daughter, Radawn Brown (Terry Baird), her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children Diane (Barry) Gardner, Rachelle (Charlie) Hopkins, Christine (James) Browning, and Lynette (Alan) Seeley. She enjoyed the love of 26 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Raelene was an accomplished homemaker who sought to do good each day. She used her heart and hands to bless the lives of others, nourishing our bodies as well as our souls. She touched the lives of all within her circle and considered her family her most prized possession. Mom diligently served the family by making delicious meals and every Christmas we looked forward to her famous English toffee. She loved the gospel, sewing, music, puzzles, reading, dogs, crochet, flowers, Chuck-A-Rama, learning, gardening, caregiving, and spending time with the people she adored. She was a great example of integrity and believed in doing any job to the best of her ability. She exemplified Christ-like love and service in all she did. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and faithfully held numerous callings throughout her life. She also served a mission to Adam-ondi-Ahman with her eternal companion, Don. Raelene is dearly missed but we know that she is now with our Father in Heaven who loves her even more than we do, if that's possible! And we find strength in imagining the joyous reunion that surrounded her return to our heavenly home. The family wishes to thank the people at Covington Village/Spring Hollow, as well as Jordan Mackey and the hospice team at TenderCare for their kind and compassionate care of our precious mother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00am in the Orem 6th/7th Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (365 South 900 East, Orem, UT 84097). Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30am on the day of the funeral. Interment will follow at the Lehi City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted, with our appreciation, to the care of Serenity Funeral Home and Raelene's ward family, the Orem 4th Ward.
