Steven Vance Thompson

Steven Vance Thompson 1983-2022. Our son, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend fought a long, valiant battle of several medical issues and was given his rest on August 24, 2022. Steven was born on October 22, 1983; he is the son of Larry Vance and Jean Thompson. Together they helped raise eight children, Steven being the younger twin with Anthony and a big brother to his siblings, all of them being the “pride & Joy” of their parents. Steven is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is an HVAC Journeyman for the Union Local 312 and a very dedicated hard worker. Steven loved family and often expressed how much he loved us and how much his wife and son meant to him. Steven loved cars from the time he was big enough to roll them around on the carpet. He loved the mountains and liked to hike and held in high esteem some friends who were a big part of his life. Steven had a talent for carpentry & mechanics, with no special training except what his dad taught him, he took pride in his work and was a perfectionist on the things he did. He had a special love for his dogs and a deep respect for friends who came to be his mentors. We thank those men for their compassion and love on Steven’s behalf. Steven is survived by his Wife, Brenna and son Larry, his mother Jean, brothers Larry, Spencer, Jacob and sister Ambria, and also by his grandmother Carol. His Father Larry, sisters Jeanie and Leisa, his twin brother Anthony and several grandparents precede him in death. Steven’s family would like to thank all those who have been a mentor, a friend and an inspiration to him, and the many professionals on his medical team who cared for him. He acknowledged each one of them and was grateful to them for helping him. Those who know and love Steven will miss him greatly and those who didn’t know him missed out. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00am at the Bountiful 58 th ward LDS Chapel, 200 North 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 10 AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery at 2224 South 200 West Bountiful, Utah.
