Please attend with us virtually. https://youtu.be/SoAUQpHAJvU In Loving Memory, 1935-2021 U.S. Army CW4 Theodore “Ted”, 85 passed away peacefully in his home of natural causes, Cottonwood Heights, UT, Tuesday June 29, 2021. Ted was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles & Ella Jorgensen on September 1, 1935. He met Helen May Finlinson, the love of his life, at Sweets Candy Company in Salt Lake City. They married on May 24, 1957 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Ted pursued his career with the United States Military. He served in the Navy, 4 years and the Utah Army National Guard for a total of 38 years with great pride, honor and respect. It all started at South High School in the ROTC Program. Ted served overseas and locally. He couldn’t see the American Flag without tearing up. He was as true blue as they come. Family life began with the arrival of Kenneth to be followed by 2 more sons, Kevin & Michael. Their family grew with a sister as they opened their hearts and home to a Navajo, Margie White. She came every school year for 9 years. Ted loved serving the Lord. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His life was one of covenant keeping and enduring to the end. He served 3 Church Service Missions. Some of his other callings included: Bishop of the Butler 18th Ward & served twice as a High Councilor in the Butler West Stake. Anywhere the lord needed him to serve, he was always willing, and magnified his calling. He was a wonderful example of integrity; He not only knew the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but he lived it! Favorite things included Fishing, Hunting and traveling the world, but most of all just being with his family made him the happiest. You would often hear him say, “Don’t sweat the small stuff!” He is survived by his sweet wife, Helen. His sons Kenneth (spouse Shauna), Kevin (spouse Kim) and Michael (spouse Kris). He has 8 GrandChildren and 13 Great GrandChildren who he adores. A special thanks to Lara Rice for her diligence and loving care of him in his last days on earth. Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday July 7, 2021 10am at the Greenfield LDS Chapel 6634 South Greenfield Way, Cottonwood Heights, Utah Graveside Services will be at Fillmore City Cemetery 325 E 600 S, Fillmore, Utah Wednesday June 7, 2021 approximately 2:00pm
