Vivian Frances Hull Levy

Vivian Frances Hull Levy, 88, peacefully passed away on November 14, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Draper, Utah. She was born on August 9, 1928 in Hawthorne, NJ, the third daughter of Violet and Franklin Herbert Hull. She married the love of her life and soulmate, Max G. Levy of New Orleans, on September 8, 1946. Vivian and Max built a full life in New Jersey, where they raised five children who adored them. Vivian graduated from Ramsey High School. After marrying Max, she worked for the telephone company for four years until the birth of their first child. She volunteered at Pascack Valley Hospital for many years. She then taught nursery school at the Temple Israel, in Ridgewood, where she had an amazing ability to nurture young minds. Vivian and Max loved to travel to Bermuda, Hawaii, and all over the US visiting their family. They enjoyed cruising, especially with their children, grandchildren, and great-children. They created many memories that their posterity all cherish. Upon Max’s retirement from fifty-one years at Cedar Park Cemetery in 1998, Max and Vivian moved to Laguna Niguel, CA to live with their eldest daughter Linda and her husband Rainer. They fell in love with the amazing weather and beauty of Southern California. Upon Max’s death in 1999, Vivian once again worked as a volunteer at the Mission Regional Trauma Center. She never recovered from the loss of her beloved Max, but she soldiered on for the love of her family. In 2015, due to failing health, Vivian moved to Assisted Living of Draper to be near her third daughter, Pam. She was treated like a queen and reigned supreme. Vivian was a little lady, but large in life. She was all about family and there was plenty of it in the area – many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She supported them all at school and sporting events and ballet recitals. She remained sharp until the end and maintained her great sense of humor. She will be missed greatly. Vivian is survived by her sisters Norma Holden of NJ and Murial Suhaka of MD and her sister-in-law Paula Levy Joseph of Louisiana. Vivian is also survived by her children Linda (Rainer) Romeike of CA, Diane (Wayne) Earp of AZ, Pamela (Mardy) Jolley of UT, Carol (Fred) Risano of AZ, and Max (Alison) Levy of VT; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the amazing staff at Assisted Living of Draper for the loving and indulgent care they provided for Vivian and to Inspiration Hospice for their sensitive, comfort care.
