Ana Maria Aguirre

Ana Maria Aguirre Zamora, 62, returned to our Heavenly Parents on the 16th of April 2014 while surrounded by family at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. She was born on the 1st of August 1951 in the land of the eternal spring; Villacanales, Guatemala. She married her love Gabriel Vicente Aguirre in Los Angeles, California on the 24th of November 1984. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on the 12th of January 1990. She is survived by her husband; 4 children; 10 grandchildren; 2 (+1 on the way) great grandchildren; 18 brothers and sisters; and several cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. She’s preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Mario Eduardo Zamora, and Berta Celia Arcia Ambeliz. All who knew Ana Maria loved her. Famous for her cooking abilities and hospitable nature, anyone who stopped by to see her knew they would be well fed. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was full of passion, and very selfless. She was resilient and courageous in the trials she faced throughout her life and exemplified great strength and faith. Ana loved her large family and strived to keep the family together and strong, organizing gatherings and cooking feasts during the holidays. She also enjoyed preparing activities and parties for the children. Ana’s craftsmanship and artistic skills were unique, creative, and beautified family events and special occasions. She magnified her callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and as a service missionary she supported individuals and families with challenges of necessities of food, clothing, and healthcare. Ana truly practiced the pure love of Christ in the spirit of clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, and nursing the sick. Beyond her church callings it was her way of life. Our beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, and friend will be greatly missed.
