In Loving Memory of Candido Preciado Delgado Candido Preciado Delgado passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 92. He was surrounded by immediate and close family, at his daughter’s home in Utah. He was born on March 10, 1934, in Los Guajes, Mexico, to Mariano and Gregoria Delgado. After the passing of his parents, he was lovingly raised by his Uncle Blas and Aunt Julia. Candido was a loving, nurturing man who cared deeply about his family. He established his life in Wasco, California, where he lived near his four siblings-Carmen, Justo, Jose, and Lupe. There, he and his first wife, Maria, raised their seven children. Later, he moved to Bakersfield, married Sara, and together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage while raising their four children. Candido spent most of his working years in construction as a skilled cement mason. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. After retiring at the age of 62, he embraced a simple and peaceful life with Sara. A man of deep faith, Candido prayed the Rosary every day and looked forward to attending Mass each Sunday with his wife. After Mass, they enjoyed one of their favorite traditions—bringing home KFC or enjoying a chicken sandwich from Wendy's. Candido and Sara loved opening their home to family and friends. They hosted countless swim parties, grilling carne asada, listening to music, and singing. Candido himself had a beautiful voice and loved singing songs with those gathered around him, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Everyone loved gathering at Grandma Sara and Grandpa Candy's house, where they were always welcomed with warmth, laughter, and love. Although he never owned a pet himself, Candido lovingly cared for his children’s fur babies —Shaggy, Monte, Cupcake, and Harley — letting them snuggle beside him and taking them on walks. Those who knew Candido will remember his warm smile, quiet wisdom, generosity, wonderful storytelling, playful sense of humor, his hat, beanie, gloves, and even his familiar cough. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to them and everyone around him. Candido is survived by his beloved wife, Sara; his children, Rigoberto, Aurelio, Marcela, Ines, David, Eva, Leticia, Yolanda, Graciela, and Raquel; as well as his sons- and daughters-in-law, many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Maria; and his beloved daughter, Estela. The Delgado family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their love, prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your presence, comforting words, and cherished memories of Candido are deeply appreciated as we celebrate a life well lived. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
