Charlotte Mae Manheimer

Charlotte Mae Manheimer, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend, passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born on September 17, 1952, in Bloomfield, NM, and most recently resided in South Salt Lake, UT. Charlotte was an amazing woman who dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing others. She had an associate’s degree and worked as a preschool teacher, sharing her knowledge and love with countless children and continuing to teach her grandchildren with educating them. Her favorite pastime was being with her family, as family meant everything to her. Charlotte enjoyed, teaching her grandkids the Navajo language and the traditions. Telling stories of her childhood, loved to have BBQ’s and being outside. She had a special talent for making others feel calm and loved in her presence. Charlotte was a mother not only to her seven children but also to many others who were fortunate to know her. In her free time, Charlotte enjoyed watching the TV show Heartland and listening to her favorite musician George Strait. Charlotte is survived by her Aunt: Nina Atencio. Siblings Sara Toledo, Elenor Toledo, Rita Trujillo, Victoria Antonio, Priscilla Trujillo, Bertha Atencio, Veronica Atencio, Vern Atencio, Pauline Shorty as well as her loving children and grandchildren: Nathan Smith (Brooke Fellows) and their 3 kids Blake, Brooklyn, Blossom; Chriscity Norberto (Lambert Norberto) and their 5 kids Dalayna, Harrison, Sage, Leo, Jordan; Jones Junior Manheimer III, Oscar Manheimer and his 3 kids Dakota, Oscar Jr, Charlotte; Mario Manheimer and his son Alex and Arlene Manheimer and her 2 kids Evelyn and Samuel Jr. She is proceeded in death by her Father Oscar Trujillo, Mother Arlene Trujillo and her siblings Ella Antonio, Marlene Trujillo, Oscar Trujillo Jr. Her son Sylas Socha Jr and two other children 1 boy, 1 girl. Her first husband Silas Socha Smith Sr. then her second husband Jones Junior Manheimer, daughter in-law Krista Manheimer She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Charlotte Mae Manheimer leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness that will continue to inspire for generations to come. May she rest in peace. A potluck luncheon will follow the graveside service back at the church. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share with friends and family.
