Daniel Edward Schueller

Daniel Edward Schueller, affectionately known as “Dan the man,” peacefully passed away surrounded by his family, on August 1, 2025. Dan was born on October 3, 1946, to loving parents Gwendelyn Helen Bramelette and John William Schueller in Los Angeles, California. Dan grew up in Duarte, CA building close relationships with his siblings, Ronnie, Josephine, Margarite, Edward, and especially his sister Gwendelyn, whom he affectionately referred to as Sue. Dan was an avid swimmer and won medals in swimming. He competed in several sports while attending Duarte High School including being on the Cheerleading team. Dan’s favorite car was “Willeys” Jeep which was used in many of the Duarte High School parades. Shortly after completing a semester in college Dan joined the United State Navy on February 10, 1965. Dan completed 3 tours in Vietnam earning 4 Bronze Stars and the rank of Petty Officer 3 rd Class before his honorable discharge on February 9, 1971. After leaving the Navy Dan entered the world of finance and became the President of a Bank in Los Angeles, CA and a Mortgage Broker in Phoenix, AZ and Sale Lake City, UT retiring after 40 years in the industry. Dan married Bonnie Lunde, later divorced. They had three children together: Dawn, Johnny, and Daniel. Dan later married Rose Marie Vennekolt, later divorced. They had one child among them, Michelle Schueller. Dan later married Jacqueline (Price) Haney, whom he spent the last 32 years of his life with. Dan was well known to be a social, kind, and giving person. Dan loved his family and frequently talked about the love he had for his children Dawn, Johnny, Danny, and Michelle. Dan’s love for sports continued throughout his life as you would often find him watching his favorite football team (Go Rams!!) or watching a round of golf or two. Dan is survived by his Wife: Jacqueline (Price, Haney) Schueller, Sister: Gwendolyn (Sue)(Randy) Epperson; Nieces Tracy and Kimberly; several other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Dan is superseded by his parents Gwendolyn and John, brother Ronnie, sister Josephine, and brother Edward. Dan will be interned at Camp Williams on August 15, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Per Dan’s wishes no viewing or pre-services will be held. A small celebration of life will be held after Dan’s services at a private location.
