David Lloyd Fisher

David Lloyd Fisher, 47, of North Ogden, Utah, passed away suddenly in his home on February 16th, 2025. Born on April 21st, 1977 in Portland, Oregon, to Lloyd Dean Fisher and Eileen Leora Fisher, David grew up in a little town named Boring, Oregon and graduated from Barlow High School in 1995. After High School, David attended Mt. Hood Community College and worked at a gas station until he received his LDS mission calling. At 19 years old in 1996, David was called to serve the New Zealand and Cook Islands mission where he learned Cook Island Mauri and was able to meet with the heads of state from other island nations arriving in the Cook Islands. It was a great honor for David to meet each arriving dignitary and offer a prayer on their behalf. David and his mission companion flew to many islands to teach and baptize new members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. David had the opportunity to teach the gospel in their native language over the radio many times. He loved this mission and the people he met along the way. David often spoke fondly of the memories and stories he accumulated from his mission and kept all of the gifts and souvenirs he received in his office where he could reminisce. He always jumped at the opportunity to talk about it all. In 1999, David attended BYU Hawaii after returning home from his mission, where he met his soon-to-be wife, Elenoa Tiare Naeata. David and Elenoa were married on July 1st, 2000 in the Portland temple. They had four children together; Ailine Fisher, Kawika Fisher, Ne’eulani Fisher, and Meliame Fisher. David graduated from BYU Hawaii Summa Cum Laude in December of 2001, then moved his family to Texas to begin Law School in 2003. He then graduated from Texas Westleyn University School of Law in 2006 with his Doctorate degree, moved his family to Utah, and received the Utah Bar Award. David had many hobbies that included writing poetry, collecting RC cars and drones, shooting guns at the range, and collecting the masks and memorabilia from the Halloween movie franchises. David was fluent in Cook Island Mauri and Tongan and had an extensive vocabulary in German. He wrote and published a book in 2012 called “Only Conservatives Are In Their Right Minds”. He was passionate about our country’s constitution and laws. David was happiest when he was with his children. He always wanted to be around them to create life-long memories of family traditions, fun times, and show them selfless love. David focused on the magic of holidays like Easter, the Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas. He liked to store all of the Halloween decorations in his office because of how much he loved the holiday. David loved making Christmas the most magical event of the year and would save for months to get his children everything they could ever want. He would dress up as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and visit his children to tell the story of “Teach the Children”. It was so important to David to teach his children about the meaning of Christmas and to always hold that magic in their hearts no matter how old they get. David was a selfless, intelligent, articulate, passionate, kind, and loyal man who put his family and children first above all things. He lived for his children. He loved them with every fiber of his being. David was a son, a brother, a husband, and most importantly to him, a father. He is survived by his wife, Elenoa Fisher; His children, Ailine (Line) Fisher, Kawika (Leka) Fisher, Ne’eulani (Losa) Fisher, Meliame (Leah) Fisher; His siblings, Tamra Gunderson, Jenifer Gunderson, Juliann Newton, Kimberly Delatorre, Scott Fisher, Shaun Fisher; His parents, Lloyd Fisher and Eileen Fisher. Funeral services will be held on March 10th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Pleasant View 14th Ward LDS Church, 3035 N 1325 W, Pleasant View, UT 84414.
