Fagatele Tumama “Aiga” Fagatele, at the age of 65, returned to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at home surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born on March 4, 1951 in Alofau, American Samoa to Aioletuna Fagatele Leaea of Masausi, American Samoa & Taiva Feu’u Lea'ea of Sailele, American Samoa. He is the 3rd oldest of his siblings. Dad left Alofau, American Samoa when he was 16 years old and moved to Oahu, Hawaii where he lived for 15 years. He later met our mom in Oahu and shortly thereafter moved together to West Valley City, Utah. He married his sweetheart Lolina Taituave in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 2, 1981. They were blessed with six children together and later sealed for time and all eternity at the Jordan River Utah Temple on May 16, 1987. He worked for Standard Plumbing as a Senior Machine Operator for 15 + years. He was an avid Cricket player and a huge San Francisco 49ers fan. He was an asset to the American Samoan Community in Utah. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone with anything that they needed. He truly was the life of the party. The most important thing in life to him was his family, children, grandchildren and especially our grandmother, his Mama or often referred by our Dad as Tinā. He is survived by his: Mother; Taiva Lea'ea Siblings; Suitofo “Tumuauatasi” Fagatele, Siauto Asifoa, Siupapa Segi, Fia Feu’u “Taloū” Fagatele, Lemafoe Neemia, Isaiah Fagatele, Fa’atautui Sioloa, Taufusi Leaea. Children: Leata Siaki (Foe), Selina Fesili (Tanuopopo Jr), Taiva Rokelita Fagatele, Feu’u Taliaoa Fagatele, and Lolina Fagatele (Tim). Grandchildren; Oriana Lolina Fesili, Faith Selina Fagatele, and Zion Tuaifaiva Fesili. He is preceded in death by: Father; Aioletuna Fagatele Leaea, his sweetheart; Lolina Taituave, Son; Tumama Vincent Fagatele, Brother; Suani Fa’afia, and Sister Fa'avae Tupuola. Services are under the direction of Peni Malohifo'ou of Serenity Funeral Home A celebration of life and going away home celebration service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Granger 25th Ward Chapel located at 2101 West 3100 South West Valley City, Utah followed by his final service. Dad will be laid to rest at the Valley View Memorial Cemetary, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley.
