Jaqui Diamanti

Jaqui Diamanti, 80, of Salt Lake City, UT, died on August 28, 2023, from natural causes. She was born in Grand Junction, CO, on March 25th, 1943, to John Richard Bankowski who was a service member in the U.S. Army and Juanita Marie Raff, a homemaker. Jaqui was married twice during her lifetime. Her first marriage was to Edward (Chase) Tratos, with whom she was blessed with three children. Subsequently, she married Randy Diamanti, and their union lasted until his unfortunate passing in 2010. Jaqui was a fiercely independent free spirit who roamed across the United States, from California to Rhode Island. Her talent for storytelling and her gift for eliciting laughter from those around her were well-known, as was her deep affection for her Chihuahuas and her stunning hands. Jaqui took great pride in maintaining her nails, always achieving a flawless manicure herself, firmly believing that no one else could do it as well. She adorned her hands with an array of rings and bracelets to showcase their beauty, and the scent of Chanel No. 5 was her signature. Jaqui was a jack of all trades, pun intended. Her career path encompassed roles as a security guard for UTA, employment in the retail industry, and even time spent operating heavy equipment. Alongside her husband Randy, she successfully managed a mobile home park for several years. Later, she pursued further education to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA), a skill that proved invaluable when her husband fell ill. Jaqui's caregiving enabled her to provide the best care possible for him until his passing in 2010. Jaqui leaves behind a loving legacy in the form of her sister: Verna Austin, and her three children: Patricia Tratos-Burdick (Bruce), Cary Tratos, and Todd Tratos (Kelly). In addition, she is survived by thirteen cherished grandchildren: Bruce J Burdick, Tara Tratos-Johnson, Brittany Burdick-Carvajal, Chad Montgomery, Tiffany Tratos, Chantelle Burdick-Sanders, Alyssa Tratos, Sydney Leman, Breanne Montgomery-DeLeeuw, Sandn Tratos, Chase Montgomery, Aspen Tratos, and Savanna Tratos. Her family also includes twelve great-grandchildren. Jaqui's passing was preceded by her parents, her husband, her daughter-in-law, and grandchild. Her ashes will be spread, at a later date , in a private ceremony with her family. Jaqui’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the management team at Ballpark Apartments, specifically Alicia and Ian, for their exceptional support and compassion during Jaqui's residency. Additionally, they extend their thanks to the dedicated hospice teams at Suncrest Hospice for their remarkable care and support throughout Jaqui's journey, as well as the hospice team at Inspiration Hospice for their tender care and comfort during her final days.
