Jeanne Anne Phillips

Jeanne Anne Phillips age 67, passed away on Tuesday, April 19th in Sandy, Utah. She was born on September 5, 1948 in Greenriver, Utah to Lauren Dwight and Viola Jeppsen Beebe. She married Bob Curtis Phillips in Grand Junction, Colorado on June 21, 1968. Jeanne was a beloved and dedicated wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. She always put others and their needs ahead of her own and enjoyed creating experiences and items to give to others. All of her hobbies were an outlet to her selfless love. She spent hundreds of hours doing indexing work. She made hundreds of chemo hats for the children at PCMC. She loved to crochet blankets, head wraps and hats and delighted in giving them away. Before she fell too ill, she loved to scrap book for her kids and grandkids and loved to make them headbands, bags and anything else she thought they’d enjoy and find useful. She was the ultimate party thrower, she celebrated every occasion and decorated hundreds of cakes for her parents, husband, siblings, children and grandchildren. She put everything that she had and that she was into the love and caring of others. She was a gentle soul who will be missed and remembered forever. Jeanne is survived by Bob Phillips, Larry (Alice) Beebe, Stephen (Karen) Beebe, Ted (Debby) Phillips, Michelle (Mike) Shurtliff, Kristen (Darin) Moyes, Paul Phillips and 12 grandchildren: Rachael (Jake) Kofoed, Kassidee Moyes, Michael Shurtliff, Kennedee Moyes, Ashley Shurtliff, Christopher Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Daniel Shurtliff, Kaydee Moyes, Chelsey Phillips, Kiara Shurtliff, Karlee Moyes and one great granddaughter Baylen Kofoed. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Lauren and Viola Beebe and by her daughter Deanne Jean Phillips. A funeral will be held in her honor on Monday, April 25th at 11:00 AM at the LDS church building located at 2130 East Gyrfalcon Drive (10000 South) in Sandy, Utah. A graveside service at the Sandy Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral. Family, friends and neighbors are invited to attend a celebration of Jeanne’s life on Sunday evening (the 24th) from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Shurtliff Residence: 4487 Mandy Lee Cove (12705 South) in Riverton, Utah. Join us for an evening of food, fun and for the opportunity to mingle and share memories.
