Joanne Beverly Betty Patane Savini

Galumalemana Joanne “Beverly” Betty Patane Savini, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away surrounded by her family on May 15, 2023 at the tender age of 60. Beverly was born on March 20, 1963 in Auckland, New Zealand and Moved to the United States when she was only 9. Beverly dedicated her life to helping others and making a positive impact in her community. She worked as an education counselor for Waterford Upstart and loved her job, especially her fellow colleagues who cared for her until the very end. There is but one phrase that could describe Beverly's earthly existence : she “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38). Whether it was in her capacity as a Boy Scout Leader that mothered many Eagle Scouts who still remember the deep and wide wells of wisdom and love she shared, or in her service as Relief Society President in her ward, Bev was restless in serving her fellow brothers and sisters. She loved music, dancing, sports and her energy was contagious. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She adored her seven grandchildren and cherished the moments she was able to spend with them. Her tenacious spirit of giving persisted even through a terrible cancer diagnosis that eventually weakened her body, but never her heart or her spirit. After fighting valiantly for more than a decade, and giving all of herself to all and any who needed her, Bev passed into eternity leaving behind a legacy of love, her last gift to her Savior. Beverly is survived by her loving husband Lewitt Hitisone Savini and their 2 sons and 7 grand jewels: Moriancum (Elina ‘Nikki’ Vaitu’u) Baby Lew, Jaxson, Nheveene Mckay (Maryland ‘Apitanga Heimuli) Bumper, Lose, Baby Malo, Baby Joanne Beverly's namesake. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all those who were blessed to be loved by her. She also leaves behind her father Misiona Patane Sr., and her five siblings: Misiona “Junior” Patane, Martin Patane, Adele Tovio, Charles Patane and LeTasha Soliai. Rest in peace, our beautiful and sweet Galumalemana Joanne “Beverly” Betty Savini Until we meet again at Jesus' feet.
