Kalolaine Kuea Lauaki Angilau

April 19, 1934 - March 20, 2017 Kalolaine Kuea Lauaki Angilau returned to the arms of our loving Heavenly Father on March 20, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the comfort of her own home in West Jordan, Utah. Kuea was surrounded by loved ones as she peacefully took her last breath of life. Kuea was born in Lapaha Mu'a, Tongatapu on April 19, 1934 to Siupeli Falekakala Lauaki and Amelia Semipilivi Iongi. Kuea is the oldest of 15 children: Lavinia Moala, Melelositika Taufalele (deceased), Lilikakihetau Lauaki (deceased), Viliami Sovea Lauaki (deceased), Viliami Sovea Lauaki (deceased), Tino Faka'osi, Viliami Sovea Lauaki, Lopeti Lauaki, Lesieli Vea, Amone Leveniuota Lauaki, Siupeli Falekakala Lauaki (deceased), Lineni Taufahema, Siotame Fonua Lauaki, Finau Taufa, and 'Elisiva Ikatonga Finau. Kuea was a true example of love, kindness and humility towards her siblings. Because of her example, she was respected and loved by them all. Later in life, Kuea married her loving, hard working eternal companion Kaliopasi Fakalolo Angilau from Tatakamotonga, Tongatapu February 8, 1952. They were then sealed for time and all eternity in the LDS Jordan River Temple in July of 2011. Kuea and Fakalolo were blessed with 11 children: Poli Kalepo Angilau (Fuaimamao), Fa'tuongo Angilau (deceased), Lemana Saufo'i Angilau - deceased (Halaevalu), Lauaki Angilau (Lesieli), Lupe Schaumkel (Sonasi), Meliame Latu Falepapalangi (Fred Stone), Tevita Motuila Angilau, Lolohea Miko (Alouni), Tapa'atoutai Muamoholeva (Ilaise), Losaline Vatuvei (Sione), Tonga Silimai Angilau (A.J.), Viliami Feilo Angilau (Moana), and Singana Angilau (Soana). All of their children currently reside in the United States, Tonga and Australia. As parents, they exemplified the meaning of true love, hard work and humility. Kuea and Fakalolo are survived by 48 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren who were their most priceless jewels that they always cherished and loved so much. Kuea will always be known as a beautiful individual both inside and out. She had a heart of gold and was always so tenderhearted towards those she came in contact with on a daily basis. Never would you find her to be outspoken as she spoke so softly with love and humility. Kuea was always known as the favorite grandma, sister, cousin or aunt because she never turned anyone away despite what an individual would say or do - she never judged anyone as they were all the same in her eyes. Kuea demonstrated a profound love for the Gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ. She never ceased to continue to study the scriptures daily and was always found on her knees praying both day and night. Kuea always exemplified Christ-like love as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her presence will always be missed as we remember her example of selfless service and love towards everyone. As family members of Kalolaine Kuea Lauaki Angilau, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the love and support shown in many ways by family, friends and church members. A special thank you goes out to the Intermountain Healthcare Home Health and Hospice team for being extraordinary, compassionate caregivers. Their service to Kuea is very much appreciated and has not gone unnoticed by her family. We also would like to thank the staff at Serenity Funeral Home for the guidance and support they have shown to our family but most of all for the care they provide for our precious angel, Kuea.
