Karen Hamblin Jensen

Our beautiful loving Mother, Wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend Karen Hamblin Jensen, 61, gained her wings and took flight July 24, 2015. Karen was born May 17, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Paul and Shirley Hamblin. Karen married her best friend and soul mate Birger Jensen on October 10, 1973. Karen loved her family so very much. She is survived by her Husband, Birger, Daughter, Heather Treweek & Son, Brandon Jensen. Two incredible Grandsons, Stockton & Berkley Treweek. Her Loving parents: Paul & Shirley Hamblin as well as 9 brothers and sisters: Sherman, Roger, Lori, Rex, Mont, Kenny, Mike, Richard and Vicki (and their spouses). Karen had many accomplishments; she was a friend and a mentor to many young men and women through her 41, year career with KFC. She loved her job and all the friends that she made through the years. She was able to mentor & teach many great employees while teaching them to work hard. She has many awards for the years of great service & running a great store. Karen loved spending time with her family, they were the highlight of her life. Karen loved to go to University of Utah football games with here daughter. She had a really great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Karen enjoyed her trips to Wendover and Las Vegas. She loved to watch her grandsons play sports and cheer loud from the sidelines. Though Karen has left us for now, we will never forget her. Her love, her laughter, her smile, the way she cared and loved everyone. We know that she is no longer in pain and suffering in her earthly body. She is in the arms of a loving Heavenly Father as well as reunited with her best friend and sister, Kim. Together they will go forward and prepare a place for all of their family to be with them again some day. Karen will forever be a guardian angle to all she knew. Karen, we love you and will deeply miss you. We will forever cherish your memory as well as the memories we have made together. Though you are gone from this earth you will forever be in our hearts. May God be with you till we meet again. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 1st at Saratoga Springs Park & Pavilion from 5-9 pm.
