Maria Angelica Saenz de Rojas June 10, 1948 – July 21, 2025 Maria Angelica Saenz de Rojas passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Eagle Mountain, Utah. She was born on June 10, 1948, in Lima, Peru, to Victoria Anton de Saenz and Raul Saenz Goñe. She spent nearly her entire life in Lima, Peru. She had a strong interest in accounting—a subject she loved and remained passionate about throughout her life. In September 1997, she moved to the United States and devoted herself fully to raising her children with care, love, and dedication. Maria was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1965 onward, together with her entire family. They were among the early pioneers of the Church in the South America South Area, helping to lay the foundation for future generations of faith. She is survived by her children: Diana D. Rojas; Claudia V. Vargas (Enrique Vargas); Monica P. Builes (David Builes); and Luis G. Rojas (Raul Soikes). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Charlyne S. Washburn (Trevor Washburn), Cedrick N. Vargas, Solange M. Espinoza (Nicolas Espinoza), Andrew I. Builes, and Brandon S. Vargas (Katherine Guess); and by her great-grandchildren: Nizhonii Washburn, Mia Espinoza, and Wayne Espinoza. Her loved ones reside in both Utah and Massachusetts. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Bluffdale, Utah. Maria will be remembered for her enduring faith, strength of character, and the unconditional love she shared with her family.
