Mele Teuila Kuli

Mele Teuila Halalilo Kuli, age 45, passed away on Saturday August 1st 2015, in her son’s residence in Provo, Utah. She was born February 2nd 1970 to Paula Halalilo and Lavinia Tukuafu Halalilo in Ha’atu’a, ‘Eua, Tonga. Mele married Siaosi Kuli 26th November 1985 in Ha’atu’a, ‘Eua, Tonga. Mele was a skilled Tapa maker, ta’ovala , fala etc. She enjoyed making these things for friends and family. Mele also sold the beautiful items that she created in order to take care of her family and her children’s school fees ect. Mele was such a hard worker and worked nonstop for her children. Mele came to the United States in May 2011 to bring her son Meiohihifo to the MTC and stayed in order to make money for her children back in Tonga, and ended up passing away in the United States. Mele was always the life of the party and had such a bright personality and everyone was attracted to her excitement and loved to be around her. Mele was always involved in helping others. Mele is survived by her husband Siaosi Kuli, and her children, Lisiate Kuli (Kori Marie Kuli), Meiohihifo Peiholani Kuli, Tema Kuli Vea(‘Epalahame Vea), Lu’isa Kuli, Samisoni Kuli, Lavinia Kuli, Her grandchildren Melepueki Vea, Manusiu Katiola Teuila Vea, Siaosi Manu Quinlan Kuli. Her siblings Niki Halalilo, Voita Halalilo Samisoni Halalilo, Paula Halalilo. Manase Halalilo. Mele is preceded by her loving mother Lavinia Tukuafu Halalilo, her Father Paula Halalilo, her siblings Kisaea Halalilo ‘Iloa, ‘Akau Halalilo, Samisoni Halalilo. The services will be held Friday August 7th 2015. There will be a viewing held at 8am to 10am and a Bishop program from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Tongan Provo Wasatch Stake Center 1625 S Slate Canyon Dr, Provo, Utah . After the noon services the burial will take place at the Provo Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Peni Malohifo'ou of Serenity Funeral Home We would like to thank our family, friends, and ward members for all of their help and love during this difficult time. We are so disheartened by Mele’s passing and we appreciate and overwhelmed with love for all of the help and willingness from everyone.
