Rebecca “Becky” Ann Castro 74 On the morning of Friday, December 22, 2023, our sweet mom passed away peacefully at the home she shared with her loving husband, Gilbert E Castro, after her 3-year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Becky was born on August 16, 1949, in Salt Lake City, UT to Warren Edward Stack and Bonnie Jean Stack. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Gilbert E Castro, her cherished children: William Nitka (Susan Nitka), Colin Archuleta (Traci Archuleta), Corinne Archuleta, Magun Sykes (Justin Sykes), and will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Cody Boswell (Jennifer Boswell), Jordan Dimick, Stoney Grayer, Jacob Shriver, Marcus Lombardo, Kailyn and Logan Sykes. She is also survived by her siblings: Warren Stack, (Katherine Stack), Karen Stack, Kathleen Munoz (John Munoz): along with four great grandchildren, many joyful nieces, nephews and so many amazing friends. Becky’s educational journey spanned through college all in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had a fulfilling career in shopping center development, where she worked for 50 years. Which included: The Price Company, TCS (Tenant Coordination Services), The Hahn Company as well as her own company, RAR Project Services, where she was on the job site in her pink hard hat. She was a pioneer in her work as an entrepreneur. She commanded respect with her knowledge, experience, and demeanor. Entrepreneurship gave her a sense of pride and the freedom to work on many diverse projects. She provided for herself and her family financially, for which she was ahead of her time. Becky was an active member of the Alcoholics Anonymous community for over 36 years in: Salt Lake City, Utah, San Diego, CA & Various Locations in TX. She was a spiritual goddess. Her faith was an important facet in her positive outlook on life, always striving for self-improvement and growth. She touched so many lives. She was incredibly devoted, loving, and compassionate to others struggles, always with a listening ear and no judgement. Her dedication to helping others within the program of Alcoholics Anonymous was such a big part of who she was. She believed in acts of service, and shared her experience, strength, and hope, helping change the lives of many, many, women, men, and children alike. Her constant dedication and support to those in the Alcoholics Anonymous Community will be remembered forever. Becky was the glue of our family. Generous, fun, optimistic, constantly improving herself and magnanimous. Anyone who knew Becky loved her and her bigger-than-life personality. Her indistinguishable laugh, and her generous spirit is something that will be with us forever. Her loss has affected many and we are incredibly thankful and humbled by the outpouring of love and support from those who have reached out, sent meals and shared stories of how she impacted and changed their lives. She was a warrior, anyone who had the privilege of knowing her knew that. She found joy in various activities, including swimming, soaking up the sun, walking, snorkeling, crafting, gardening, and taking drives to explore the world around her with her loving husband Gilbert. Her zest for life and commitment to others will be dearly missed. She can rest now, breathe without pain and swim till her heart's content. May her soul rest in peace & may you continue to hear her laughter throughout your lifetime as her spirit will live on forever. Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Warren Edward Stack and Bonnie Jean Peterson. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 5, 2024, at 6 pm at St. James Episcopal Church, 7486 S Union Park Ave, Midvale, UT 84047.
