Robert Burrell Nyman

Robert Burrell Nyman returned to his heavenly home Thursday April 26, 2018. Robert was born May 25, 1954 to Carl Nelson and Jean Burrell Nyman in Logan, Utah. He grew up in Cache Valley and graduated from Sky View High school. Robert attended both Utah State University and the University of Utah. He was an amazing cook and was the head Chef at the Dodo restaurant in Salt Lake City for many years. He absolutely loved music and was very talented. He played many instruments including the guitar, violin, and flute. Robert was an animal lover. He enjoyed raising dogs, mostly Poodles and Afghan hounds. He competed in many dog shows and competitions, where he won many awards and accolades. He also raised salt water fish and exotic birds. He owned Barks and Bubbles Pet Grooming in Salt Lake with his dear friend, Sandy Peterson, for over 18 years. His client list was large and his customers were very loyal. He was good at his job and loved the animals he groomed, as well as their owners. He always surrounded himself with great friends who loved him, and many of whom he considered family. Robert will be remembered for so many things. His amazing culinary and musical skills, love of animals and music, his independence and high level of intelligence, his political viewpoints, his cool cars, his beautiful blooming Orchids and green thumb, and his position of favorite uncle, just to name a few. His personalized and touching face book and text messages, his amazing words of encouragement when he knew you were down or needed a little lift, the way he would always remember you on your birthday, his enjoyable phone conversations, his nonjudgmental and unconditional love, his kind spirit, and generous heart will never be forgotten. His home was always a welcoming and comfortable place, and you would always leave feeling that you were valued, respected, and loved just the way you are. We will all miss the memories and our daily interactions with you so much Robert, but we will continue to learn from your example and feel of your love for us and all of God’s creations. You have blessed the lives of many and we will always hold a piece of that in our hearts. Until we meet again, love you-bye. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Nelson and Jean Burrell Nyman, two brothers Hubert Gary and Dennis Burrell Nyman, sister Lana Jean Nyman, nephew Gary Michael Nyman, and many Animal friends. He is survived by brothers David (Carol Ann) Nyman of Ceder City, Utah, and Jeff (Rose) Nyman of Payson, Utah, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews who love and adore him.
