Shoran Blaser

Shoran Blaser age 74 of Magna UT, passed away Sunday,July 17,2016 peacefully at home surrounded by the ones she loves. She was born to the late Stanley Simmons SR & Kathleen Simmons on Feb 11,1942 in SLC UT. Shoran is survived by the love of her life Vern Blaser, she was blessed with 6 children 14 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren & 1 great great grand child. She is rejoined in death with her father Stanley Sr. mother Kathleen, her son Tim and grandson Dustin, Sister Judie, and brothers Stanley Jr. & Todd. As to her wishes their will be no services. Shoran has been compassionate about taking care of others her whole life, at a young age she played a big role in the raising of her sister & brothers. After having a family of her own she knew it was her legacy to be a loving wife, mother and homemaker, even Martha Stewart could have learned a lot from this amazing woman!!! Throughout life Vern was on the road working hard and providing for his family & Shoran held the home together. It was during that time she found her other passion in life, she loved working in her yard and garden and making it beautiful. She even received an award from west valley city for having the most beautiful yard, and was featured in the newspaper. As i was writing this for my grandma, i decided not to use family names as she was mom & grandma to everyone!!!! Growing up everyone in the neighborhood called Vern & shoran grandpa & grandma. She fed them all and always had special treats for them all during the holidays, most of the time grandma & grandpa went without so that everyone they loved could have more then what they needed, and once you became family, you was family for life!! So it would be truly impossible to list a family as big as the one my grandparents have created during their life's. Shoran is truly an inspiring warrior as she has battled cancer, heart disease & strokes, all that have taken the life's of her siblings. It was when she was no longer able to work in her yard that she truly died inside. Even in her last months she was more worried about others over her self, she would say she needed to get up and take care of us! When we told her she needed to rest she wold get mad and told us she was hard boiled!!! And she would be fine LOL... The last few years Vern was the primary care giver for shoran even know he has health issues himself he never left her side until the end ! True love isn't romeo and Juliet who died together. its grandma and grandpa who grew old together. No matter what happened throughout life.... I know the time has come and we must let her go, but i ask, if roses grow in heaven, lord please pick a bunch for me and place them in my grandmas arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her we love and miss her when she turns to smile place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile...... Love you always & enjoy making heavens garden beautiful....
