On May 5, 2024 around 3:15am our father gained his wings, returning with honor and completing his mission here on earth. Born October 30, 1933 to Pita and Melekoula Toki Tuakifalelei in the village of Tefisi on Va'vau. Born to a big family dad learned quickly how to build, farm and help the family on their plantation. Moving to New Zealand in the 70's and then finally migrated to Salt Lake City, UT in 1996 there he would forever plant his roots. Dad is a proud member to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. If dad was not out and about spreading the love of the gospel or doing temple sessions, you will find him at home either working on his garden, hosting meetings, reading his scriptures, watching wrestling, playing his guitar and singing or making some of his favorite tongan dishes (lo'i ho'osi & fakakai). Dad was resilient and independent always finding a way to survive and provide for his family. He enjoyed life and gave wholeheartedly, loved to dance and sing especially with his band around Christmas time. Loved his kids, gbabies and great gbabies. He is a strong man that never complained or cried about being in pain, always turned to the Lord for comfort and knowing the Plan of Salvation kept him humble. We love you dad and your presence will be missed dearly and felt throughout not just Utah and California, but Tonga, Australia and New Zealand. FAMILIES ARE FOREVER AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER US! OFA ATU. He is survived by his kids: Pila (Vinola), Toli (Moana), Gustav (Lani), Siulolovao (Gian), Danny (Lemafo'e), Melekoula, Anamoala (Tony), Nafetalai, his 44 Grand kids and 28 Great Grand kids. Reunited with his mother and father, his Grandson Vani and his brothers and sisters. We want to thank all of you for the love and support that you have given to us during this time.
