Thomas Leroy Calloway Jr. Thomas Leroy Calloway Jr., 65, passed away June 9th 2014 in his home, surrounded by his family, after a strong battle with cancer. He was born in Helena, Arkansas to Mary Patricia Brown Calloway and Thomas Calloway Sr. He married Marcell Ann Reber in Sandy, Utah on April 24th 1984, later sealed in the Draper LDS Temple. Tom was born and raised in the small town of Holly Grove Arkansas. Graduated from Arkansas State University. In 1979 he moved to Salt Lake City and opened several Western Sizzlin Steak Houses, where he met his wife. His hobbies included cooking, barbecuing, golfing, eating good food, watching Jazz games, and anything his children were involved in became his pastime as well. He loved spending time with his friends and family and pampering his pets. He enjoyed driving his motor home and going on family road trips. He was a best friend to his children and a completely devoted husband to his wife. Tom was an example of complete selflessness and always giving to others. Tom made everyone he met feel like they were old friends. During the harrowing stages of Multiple Myeloma cancer Tom was never caught complaining or letting the pain show, but instead met every day with optimism, determination, and a smile. Survived by: His loving wife of 30 years, Marcell Ann Reber Calloway (Wife, South Jordan, UT), Austin Thomas Calloway (Son, Midvale, UT), Jordan Michael Calloway (Son, Holladay, UT), McKenzie Lora Thompson (Daughter, Springville, UT), Patsy C Richardson (Sister, Memphis, TN), Nancy C Clark (Sister, Jonesboro, AR), James Dennis Calloway (Brother, London, AR). Preceded in death by: Mary Patricia Brown (Mother), Thomas Calloway Sr. (Father) A Viewing will be held Friday, June 13th 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday, June 14th 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 14th 12:00PM. All services will be held at 11420 South 700 West, Draper, Utah (LDS Chapel).
