Tina Ki Mafile'o

Tina Ki Palesi Mafile'o slipped away peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father December 9, 2015. She was born August 1, 1975 to Mosese and Ana Toketa. She married Kapuana Ofiu Mafileo. She grew up in Tonga and migrated to the U.S in 1996. She lived in Oakland, California and then eventually moved to Utah 1997. Family is everything to her, especially her in laws. She lived for her family. She met the love of her life in Maui and was sealed for time and all eternity October 14, 1999. She loved her many nieces and nephews. One of her favorite pass times was playing cards. She was the life of every party. She was her childrens #1 fan in any and all of their sports. She would go from volleyball to basketball and then to football, never complaining but ever so proud of her children. Her days were full of adventure following her childrens passion for sports and education. When she had spare time she loved bbq's at the beach and swimming with her kids. She enjoyed shopping and having singing sessions with her children. She is a music lover. Tina had a big heart, the moment you met her instantly you have gained a friend, a sister, a aunt and a mother for a lifetime. She loved to serve others. Her presence will be greatly missed. We love you. She is survived by her husband, Kapuana Ofiu Mafileo their children Melinda Mafileo, Ana Mafileo, Tevita Mafileo. Her mother Ana Iongi Toketa. Siblings, Ileini Kolomalu (Vili), Polohiva Finau (Tianikumi), Siosifa Toketa (Temalisi), Kailomani Toketa (Rina), Tyson Talanoa Toketa (Sarah), Vaiasini Faleta (Kanatea). Preceded in death by her father, Mosese Toketa. Grandparents Tevita and Tina Toketa, Tevita Iongi, Lopeti Siliva Ofiu Sr, Latu Pesi Sesilia Hafoka Ofiu, Lopeti Siliva Ofiu, Mele Taufa Ofiu Langi. A Viewing will be held December 18, 2015. 6pm - 10pm at The LDS Chapel located at 8485 S 1000 E Sandy, Utah. Another viewing will be held Saturday December 19, 2015 from 9am-1030am, followed by her Services at 11am. Saturday services will be held at the Tongan Sandy 4th Ward located at 1280 E Turquoise Way.
