Unaloto Ki Pulotu Havili

Our loving husband, father, brother and uncle, Unaloto Ki Pulotu Havili, returned back into the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Unaloto, also known as Una, was a strong and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He marched to the beat of his own drum and came into this world on his own time. Born in the bathtub of his humble home in Poplar Grove, Salt Lake City, Utah to his parents, Tevita Kaufusi Havili and Elva Wender Kinikini Havili. He was the 3rd boy and 5th child of 8. Una attended and graduated from East High School in 2003 where he would take up the sport of wrestling and was dedicated to it. He loved to wear short shorts for wrestling and track practices and many of his high school friends remembered him for that. The same year, his close friend, Adam Hunt unexpectedly passed away during their senior year. After graduating, he enlisted in the Army and was proud to be able to serve his country. He met the love of his life, Saineha (also known as Neha) Soakai, 3 years later. It was love at first sight. ❤️ They married and were sealed for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 12th, 2006. They were blessed with 4 beautiful children.. 3 beautiful daughters Uenita Miyoko Mailei Amelia Rayna Moala 1 handsome son named after him; Unaloto Moresby. They celebrated their 16-year anniversary 2 days before his death in Orlando, FL with their children. His whole life was dedicated to his little family. He often had freshly painted toenails done by his daughters with open-toed shoes and was not ashamed about it. His favorite color was purple. He and his family attended the Tongan Hunter 7th Ward and loved it. His love and knowledge of the gospel was beyond his years. He magnified all of his callings. Una had a way in making you feel loved by not only him, but also by the Savior. He did not only preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he lived it. He was a proud employee of Frito Lay for 14 years and worked in many capacities for the company. He enjoyed his career and was promoted multiple times. While working full-time, Una decided to return back to school at Salt Lake Community College and was a straight A student. Una had an amazing work ethic. Una and Neha became debt-free and financially independent. That led them to buy their first home in 2020 in West Valley City. He loved when his family visited him so they could see all his hard work had paid off. Neha has worked at Delta Airlines for 13 years. This was a blessing as it allowed their family to travel the world. Una was a frugal man and he loved the ability to travel and live on a bargain. Una danced like no one was watching. He loved his nieces and nephews so much and would greet them by teasing them and they loved him just the same. Una will be sorely missed by all of them and his competitiveness to beat them at anything they played. A couple years ago, he was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. This helped him better understand himself which gave him more confidence to face and overcome challenges in his life. In 2021, his daughter, Mailei, was diagnosed with Dystonia, a neurological disorder. He was determined to let Mailei know she is no different than any other kid and at the same time, making sure she stays independent by learning to do things on her own. Una is survived by his wife and children. His parents; Tevita and Elva Havili. Siblings, Sione (Mele) Etuate (Patricia) Soloi (Solo) Angeles (Redmond) Stanley (Jocelyn) Lesieli (Keith) Tevita (Hazel) Father in Law and Mother in Law; Elder Panasai Soakai and Sister Amelia Pau’u Alatini Soakai serving in the Portland Oregon Mission. All of his wonderful in-laws and their spouses and many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Nomani and Milika Havili, Kime and Faleaka Kinikini; Uncles Tame Tongi Fili & Maka (Lani) Havili; Cousin, Renee Watanabe and his friend, Adam Hunt.
