William M. Toon III

William M Toon III, 28, passed away on January 14, 2024 in Utah. Will was born on November 3, 1995 in Atlanta, Georgia to Bill and Jennifer Toon. Will is survived by his parents and siblings Aubrey and Jacksen. He will be joining his sister Lauren and brother Jakob in heaven and waiting for their family to join them. Sports were a central part of Will’s life. To help control his energy he started playing tackle football at the age of seven in Midland, Michigan. Will was involved not only with football but also basketball, baseball, and speed skating (yes, Will had incredible long leg strides on the ice). In 9th grade, Will made the decision to focus on track and it wasn’t throwing a discus or the shot put, it was running the one- and two-mile races. Will looked like a man among boys because he was so much taller than everyone else running these races. Will ended up going undefeated that year and made the Arizona high school team in both track and cross country during his sophomore year. At the beginning of his Junior year, Will moved with his family to New Hampshire where he switched to the 800-meter race in track and field, lettered while taking fourth place in the New Hampshire state finals. Hanging out with his siblings and friends, cooking and eating (especially HOT and Spicy food), gaming with all his relatives, and having chill days would describe Will if he was not out making money. Will enjoyed building computers, repair phones and Apple watches OR he would flip ANTHING with his buy low and sell high mentality. Will was a GREAT entrepreneur, especially the collectible sneakers! Anyone that knew him would agree his picture is next to the word “hustling”! Will was fiercely independent and never wanted to rely upon anyone but himself. He did have dreams of being a loving husband and father including providing for his family. Love was the center of Will’s life. Will loved his family and friends as both were part of his everyday posse. Will was extremely loyal to those that he loved and would always have their backs during times of need. At the end of every conversation with his family, his final words would simply be “I love you”. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 26th at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church located at 6411 W 11800 N, Highland, UT, 84003. He will be buried immediately afterwards at the Highland City Cemetery. There will be a family viewing prior to the funeral service from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.
