Bart Bennion Lusty 1959-2017 Bart Bennion Lusty passed away at home after a long illness on October 24, 2017. We are saddened that his life has been cut short. He was born April 18, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah and spent his childhood exploring & tearing up most of Cottonwood Heights. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1977. He was a very dedicated and hard worker taking pride in his work. He worked for Bridgestone/Firestone Building Products for over 30 years. He was an incredibly generous person, who often thought of others first. He enjoyed the finer things in life. Bart was an excellent sailor and enjoyed the challenges of the sport and readily shared his sailing knowledge and skills. He spent many years sailing on Bear Lake and Great Salt Lake. He traveled to the Puget Sound, the Bay Area and to Mexico sailing with family and friends. He enjoyed his cozy home and loved his little dogs that wrapped themselves around his heart. Bart you will be forever missed and we will always remember your fun-loving nature. May the wind be always at your back. His heart-broken family survives Bart. His dear mother Barbara Lusty recently preceded him in death. Survived by his father David Lusty, his only child Camille Lusty Richins (James) and his three grandchildren Kaylee Scheidler, Karsen and McKinley Richins. His brother Brett (Nancy) Lusty and sisters DeeAnne (John) Schoenfeld-Kimball and Liz (Greg) Taft. Nieces Amber Schoenfeld and Brooke Lusty, nephews Brayden Taft and Tyler Kimball, Aunt Phyllis Bennion and many cousins. He married Teri Stout, but later divorced. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Three Fountains Club House, (West) 828 Three Fountains Circle, Murray, UT. Spreading of his cremains at a later date. “All things, even the deepest sorrow or the most profound happiness are all temporary. Hope is fuel for the soul, without hope, forward motion ceases.”
