November 27, 1958 - April 18, 2022
Cecilia Teresa Plascencia Gonzalez passed away peacefully in her home on April 18, 2022. She was born on November 27, 1958 to Maria de Los Angeles Gonzalez and George Danielsen in Tijuana Baja California, Mexico. Cecilia met and married Pedro Plascencia on February 13,1982. Their marriage exemplified commitment to each other, perseverance and love. Pedro and Cecilia were insperable, rarely doing anything without each other, even if that meant Pedro waiting hours in the parking lot of Cecilia's work so they could drive home together. Her greatest blessing and accomplishment were the birth of her children. Cecilia birthed three living children and was especially proud of her one angel in heaven who awaited her arrival and whom she was so proud to speak of. Cecilia lived most of her life and raised her family in Southern California. After her kids graduated high school, she and her family relocated to Kaysville, Utah in 2003 where she resided for the remainder of her life. After getting settled in Utah, Cecilia started working for Salt Lake County and then transitioned over to working for the City of South Salt Lake, ending her career working in records with the Police Department. Cecilia was most proud of the opportunity she had to work side by side with her son at the Police Department and made sure to keep tabs on him and ensure his safety. Cecilia and her family were baptized as converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and sealed in the Los Angeles, California temple for time and eternity. She remained a faithful and devout member while serving in different capacities, although was most proud of her service in the Primary General Board. Cecilia loved and had a special place in her heart for children. She made it her focus to teach the little ones about the love of Christ and the joy that the gospel offers to each one of them, especially her own little grandchildren angels, as she called them. Cecilia never missed an opportunity to share her testimony with her children and grandchildren and ensured they all knew how important it is to remain faithful, especially through difficult trials. Cecilia is survived by her husband Pedro Plascencia, oldest daughter Anna (Dean) Spears with grandchildren Naiih, Ian, Bella, Ellie, Chloe and Diego, Arlyn (Stuart) Lyle with grandchildren Nayleen, Liliana, Eric and Kaylee, Alex (Britanee) Plascencia with grandchildren Aubree, Tayden, Graycee and Dylan. Cecilia is also survived by her two sisters Margarita Gonzalez and MaryAnn Danielsen. Cecilia is preceded in death by her oldest son, both parents and one brother. We will celebrate the life and legacy of Cecilia on April 21, 2022. Funeral Services will start at 1 pm at the Kaysville Francis Peak Ward. 1275 West 200 North (Flint) Kaysville, Utah 84037. Friends and Family visitation will be held from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Burial and dedication to follow at the Kaysville City Cemetery. 500 East Crestwood Road, Kaysville, Utah 84037. The Plascencia Family would like to publicly thank Xenia Danielsen, Dora Keller and Marilee Lessley for their friendships but most importantly their selfless acts of service, kindness and love to Cecilia as well as to the entire family through this difficult time.
