Cheri Lynn Breese

May 5, 1956 - February 21, 2015

Cheri Lynn Frogget Breese passed away February 21, 2015 ending her battle with cancer. Cheri was born May 5, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, the second child and only girl to Ronald and Marjean Frogget. She grew up in Los Angeles, Torrance, Stockton, Sacramento and Martinez, California with her family and had many friends. Cheri graduated class of ’74 from Alhambra High School in Martinez and later attended Brigham Young University, Provo, and Diablo Valley College. Family and friends describe Cheri as adventurous. She enjoyed waterskiing, swimming, gymnastics, and skydiving as well as traveling, sewing, interior decorating and gardening. She was knowledgeable in business and worked in California at title and insurance companies. On October 20, 1987 Cheri married Jim Breese on a beach in Maui, Hawaii. They had two sons, Michael Sean and Dustin Kyle. They lived in Dublin, California and Reno, Nevada. After Jim’s death in 1995 Cheri and the boys moved to Sandy, Utah to be closer to family. She was a loving and dedicated mother and always proud of her sons. Cheri said, “Live your life to the fullest. Do all you can with people and for people.” She was described by others as very generous, and kind. When friends of her sons needed places to live, she offered her home several times. She also shared her home with her grandparents when they moved to Utah from California. Cheri is survived by sons Michael and Kyle Breese, mother Marjean Frogget, brothers, Brent (Bonnie), David (Linda), Alan (Wendy) and Daryl, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, Kayla Sprague, and friends who will miss her very much. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the LDS Church 12035 Hidden Valley Road, Sandy, Utah.
