Connie Beth Nielsen Brown

Connie Beth Nielsen Brown, our Mom, giver of pure love, the protector and Matriarch of our family passed peacefully away at her home surrounded by her family on March 15, 2024. We can only imagine the long-awaited reunion with her husband who she missed so deeply. Gene and Connie are in each other’s arms again. Connie was born August 30, 1943, in Murray UT to Paul and Beth Nielsen. She was the oldest of six daughters. Connie met Gene when she was 16 years old and never stopped loving him. They were married October 2, 1961, and later sealed in the Jordan River Temple on June 28, 2002. Connie worked at Sorensen/Abbott for over 20 years. She was a supervisor and HR representative. She loved music, singing, dance, plays, musicals and camping and one of her favorite things to do was to go get a diet coke with her friends. Connie was very compassionate, a great listener, absolutely loved people and was the most accepting and loving person. She could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she held many different callings, which prepared her to serve a solo mission in Nauvoo later in life. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great aunt, great grandmother, and friend. If anyone was participating in any activity, she was there supporting and cheering them on. Mom loved her family unconditionally. She always said that her greatest joy was her family. Connie poured her heart and soul into loving and helping others. She worked hard and taught her family the value of dedication and loyalty. Her compassion truly made the world a better place. She loved people without judgement, and welcomed everyone into her heart. We will forever miss our sweet Mom. She is survived by her children, Gina (Rick) Wrigley, Stacy (Rod) Earnshaw, Danny (Michelle) Brown, Chandra (Matt) Hoyt and Lewis (Bethany) Alas. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Bo (Megan) Dent, Shandy Wrigley (Sam Courteille), Kyle (Tiffanie) Wrigley, Jesscia (Cody) Huff, Tyler (Teresa) Earnshaw, Taylor Brown, Brayden Brown, Olivia Hoyt (Carter Roundy), Kaia Hoyt, Amber Hoyt, Kenny Hoyt, Sam Hoyt, Abby Hoyt, Zach Alas, Gene Dent, Tommy Dent, Damien Dent, Malcolm Dent, Brynlee Wrigley, Lucas Courteille, Bridger Wrigley. Sisters, Paulette (Phil) McCoy, Joan (Ray) Lloyd, Sherri (Dru) Steadman, many Nieces, Nephews, and Friends who’s lives she has made an impression on. Connie is welcomed into Heaven by the love of her life Gene, having a heavenly reunion with her parents, Paul and Beth Nielsen, her sisters Cari Stirling (Stirmalstead), Shiela Roberts. In laws David and Mervine Brown, Blaine and Margie Brown, and her niece Marcie McCoy. Services will be Friday March 22, 2024 at the Crescent 11th Ward building, 89 E. 11000 So., Sandy UT 84070, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday March 21, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at the Crescent 11th ward building. Also visitation Friday March 22, 2024 from 9:30 am - 10:30am prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Crescent Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Serenity Funeral Home.
