With his family at his side, Dale Lowell Larson passed away on September 6, 2021, after battling leukemia. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 7, 1944 to Carl Walfred and Bessie Winegar Larson. Dale grew up in the "Marmalade" part of Salt Lake City where he enjoyed a great childhood. He graduated from West High School in 1963. On January 8, 1965, Dale married his high school sweetheart, Grethe Jensen. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They became the parents of four great children, three girls and one boy. Dale received training at Utah State University before becoming an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. After retiring from Hill Air Force Base, he fixed up and painted houses. Dale and Grethe served two inner city missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which were some of the most enjoyable times of their lives. Missionary work became his great love. Dale loved all kinds of outdoor activities, especially ATV and four wheeling. He loved his family and was a wonderful example to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dale is survived by his wife, Grethe Larson, 3 daughters, Amber Lucking, Anissa Powell (Whitney), Annika Hancey (Ryan), and one son Aaron Larson (Mindie), ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, one brother Douglas Larson (Susan), and three sisters, Bonita Fackrell (Wendell), Ceceile Lightfoot (Carl), and Annette Richards (Ron). He is preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, three brothers, and four sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on September 11, 2021, at the Taylorsville Utah West L.D.S Stake Center at 3495 W. 4850 S. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and prior to the funeral service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. Interment at West Jordan Cemetery, 7925 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah. One of his greatest qualities is his love for all people. He was loved and he will be greatly missed.
