August 27, 1969 - November 11, 2015
Our sweet Danny was wrapped into the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on the morning of November 11th, 2015, at the age of 46. After a short and incurable battle with cancer, we feel relief that he is no longer in pain, and no longer restrained by the confines of mortality. Danny was born on August 27th, 1969 to Vivian Irene Snow and Eugene Johnson in Fairfax County, Virginia. The youngest of five children, he was born premature, along with a few other physical challenges. These challenges may have been crippling to his body, but definitely not to his spirit. He loved animals and children, and he had the purest of hearts. Danny really enjoyed the outdoors, "hangin' with his bros" and other family, eating sweets like cake and cookies, being read to, (especially silly books), and he LOVED smiles and laughter. It should also be mentioned that he was quite the ladies man. Danny sure loved seeing a pretty girl! His strong chin, those big amber brown eyes, and his endless smiles would bond you to him forever. He didn't have a problem making friends, either. (Did somebody say, "Favorite"?) He was happy to rely on his friends and family to provide assitance and necessities. His attitude can easily be summed up with a quote from one of his most-loved bands, The Beatles: "I get by with a little help from my friends." Danny couldn't say very many words throughout his life. There is one word we have heard loud and clear, many times: "Mom". Although she passed away a few years before him, he still called for her from time to time. They shared a special bond. He got his sunshine personality from his mom, as well as his love for music and song. We know his parents are feeling ecstatic to hold and be with their "Danny Boy" once again. What a joyous reunion that Danny has waited many years for! Our Danny was a strong man, and a sweet child--a perfect combination for what life demanded of him. After many stints in the hospital, and many threats to his life, he stuck around. But as we all know, The Lord has his timing. He wasn't expected to dazzle our hearts as long as he has, and even though we knew he had to go at some point, we couldn't help but hope he'd continue on with us. Danny is preceded in death by his loving and wonderful parents, and survived by his siblings: Lorraine (Lynn) Stoddart, Kandis (Lamond) Syphus, Mark (Patty) Johnson, and Gil (Helene) Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews. At this time, our family would like to offer a very special and heart-felt "thank you" to his many friends, volunteers, and aides who served him, loved him, made him smile and laugh, assisted him in his daily needs, and made his life so vibrant and cheerful. To the wonderful people at his home, at Rise, and at Danville; THANK YOU. The graveside service for Danny will be held on Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at 12:00 PM, at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery on 600 North, 100 West in Pleasant Grove, Utah. All friends and family are welcome to join us for a luncheon to follow the services, at the LDS Spring Creek South Stake Center cultural hall on 350 North, 400 East in Springville, Utah.
