Fanny Munoz

September 3, 1977 - June 3, 2015

Fanny Munoz was born in Lima, Peru on September 3, 1977 to Gumercindo and Fortunata Huamani . She attended Sor Ana de los Angeles High school. After a car accident in 2001 Fanny faced many different and sometimes very overwhelming challenges. Nonetheless, she was very brave and learned how to handle them. Even though she was in a wheelchair, that never stopped Fanny from being a very active person, she always had a smile and tried her best on things she was passionate about. She was a beautiful woman with many different talents and gifts, she was very sociable and she made new friends very easily, that's why people loved her company. Fanny discovered that she could paint and turn it as a hobby, many times giving them away as gifts. Fanny also loved helping people whenever she could, especially to people who needed help in translating something from English to Spanish and vice-verse, also, she taught Spanish to English speakers that wanted to learn or improve their second language skills. In 2007 Fanny got married and she also enrolled as a student at the Salt Lake Community College where she worked as a Spanish TA. In her own words : “ I want to do my generals studies at Salt Lake Community College and get the credits I need to transfer to The University of Utah to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish teaching. I expect to be a good student and be practicing my career in five years or less, if everything goes as planned, I also expect to get much better at English with all the years of practice I am going to have on me.” She prepared and gave different classes/ speeches at the LDS church where she belonged. God was very important in her life and in her church she felt truly loved. She will be missed. She is survived by her parents and sister. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at Lucero LDS Ward Located at 855 Garfield Ave 1820 S, Salt Lake Utah 84105 Viewing: 10am-12pm Service: 12pm-2:00 pm Interment: SLC Cemetery 2:30pm to 3:30pm located at 200 N Street SLC, Ut 84103
