She Succumbed to natural causes. Gloria is remembered as the second mother to her younger siblings as well as nieces and nephews along with her grandchildren. She married Oslo Christenson on July 17, 1954. After years of marriage, they divorced and remained good friends. She sees a resemblance of dad in Roy and calls him Chris or Oz, dad's nicknames from time to time. Fourteen months after their first child (Roy) they were propelled into a full family of four kids (Deborah, Donald followed by Daniel) what a trip, triplets! The years that followed they received two more healthy kids, Eric then Sonja. She has always had a strong industrious work ethic. Gloria started working at a very early age to help her parents make ends meet. Her sisters talk fondly of how Gloria worked to provide them with nice things that their parents couldn’t afford. Of her many jobs, she talked most about being a Stewardess for Western Airlines. She also reminisced about working at Auerbach’s in the beauty salon. She worked serval years at Christensen Diamond Company as a diamond sorter. In her later years, she loved working at Snowbird Ski Resort in many positions. She served a mission to the Washington DC Temple and also served as an Ordinance Worker at the Jordan River Temple. She has always felt she was and is a member of the Butler 8th Ward. One of the last conversations she had with Sonja, she asked her to tell the ward she loved them. Gloria had a passion for travel and was most happy and content when she was in a car (listening to Johnny Cash) or airplane on her way to visit family or friends. She loved taking cruises to exotic islands. Gloria went on many adventures with her best friend, Suzy. The family wants to send their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Gloria’s sisters who cared for her with the greatest love and compassion in her last days.
