Grace Haunani Mackey-Rangiuaia

May 5, 1958 - July 20, 2021

Grace Haunani “Nani” Mackey-Rangiuaia (Vincent) of O’ahu, Hawai’i passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Nani was born on May 5, 1958, in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Henry Vincent Jr. and Lulu Keikilohi Kong. Nani was a loving wife, aunt, sister, and friend. After graduating from Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus, Nani earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Brigham Young University – Hawaii Campus in Laie, Hawaii, where she met and married her husband David Ashley Mackey-Rangiuaia. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Laie Hawaii Temple. After marriage, Nani and Dave spent several years living in Honolulu, Hawaii. After a brief time residing in Fiji, and traveling to New Zealand, Nani and Dave decided to make their home in Arizona. Following Dave’s passing in 2001, Nani decided to reside in Las Vegas, Nevada where she made her home for nearly twenty-five years. In 2018, Nani decided that she wanted to live closer to family, so she spent the past two years residing in Utah. An abundance of her life was spent actively engaged with family and community. This is what brought her joy. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the Relief Society presidency, as a Primary teacher, and held several other ecclesiastical callings. In addition, Nani was actively involved in community work; she was a member of Hui Hawai’i O Utah, a past officer with the Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club, a leader in the Kamehameha Schools Alumni Intermountain Region, co-founder of the Office of Living Arts, and The Matlock Foundation. She definitely touched the lives of many. Nani is survived by her brother, Henry Vincent III (Brenda Bridger), and sisters: Charlene Lui (Sione Kaisa) and Sandra Lehua Vincent (Tiana Campbell). She was preceeded in death by her husband Dave, her parents and older brother William. She will be dearly missed by her nineteen nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews. We invite you to please join us; services will be held in both Utah and Nevada.
