Jason Te'i Edward Lokeni

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our gentle giant Jason Te’i Edward Lokeni. Our lives were blessed tremendously when he was born on March 15th, 2010 in West Jordan, Utah. On November 5, 2020, he returned home to be with our Heavenly Father. He is the oldest son of the late Eric Lokeni and Charlotte Tapa’au Lili Ali’itasi Stevenson Lokeni. He attended Columbia Elementary from K-5 to 5th grade. He loved playing with his cousins and siblings. His favorite sport was playing basketball. His favorite basketball player was Kobe Bryant. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends Hayden, Owen, Jake and Nofo, under the direction of coaches Dave and JD. Jason loved to watch his older cousins play high school football and volleyball. He loved to eat cocoa rice and barbecue chicken. He loved reading books, and playing video games, especially call of duty. Jason’s favorite color is blue for BYU. He liked to watch different shows on disney plus. His favorite song was “Memories” by Maroon 5. He loved to listen to island reggae groups especially Common Kings and J Boog. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved his primary class of the Heritage 11th Samoan Ward of the West Jordan Utah Heritage Stake. His primary teachers were Sister Suamataia and Sister Perez. He will be remembered for his kindness, love, and humility. We will miss him dearly but are comforted to know that he is reunited with his best friend and dad, Eric Lokeni as well as his papa Edward Stevenson. He also gets to be with his baby cousins Ta’imuaiao, Adimailau, and Rosalie Lokeni. Jason is survived by his loving mother Charlotte and siblings, Caitlyn, Erilyn, Edward and baby Charley. In addition, he is survived by his Mama Stevenson, Grandma and Grandpa Lokeni, many aunties, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Heritage 11th ward chapel, located at: 7336 South 3200 West, West Jordan, UT 84084. Masks will be required at all times.
