Julie Ann Kvam

November 2, 1960 - March 17, 2016

Julie Ann Kvam passed away peacefully in Riverton, UT on March 17, 2016. Julie was born November 2, 1960 in Everett, WA to Russell and Patricia Kvam. She has two brothers, Jim and Larry whom she loved dearly. Julie spent many of her childhood years living with her Aunt and Uncle, Judy and Don Staringer in Richland, WA where she graduated from Hanford High School in 1982. While in Richland, she was active in Special Olympics, winning many medals. After high school, she moved home with her parents in Skykomish, WA until her “retirement” in 1993. She spent the majority of her retired years with her parents in Yuma, AZ where she loved to go bowling with family and friends, swim in the family pool and was active in her church. In 2007 Russ, Pat and Julie moved to Utah to be closer to family. In August 2014 she moved into the Riverton Women’s Home in Riverton, UT where she lived until her passing. Julie enjoyed all sports, was a passionate fan of the Washington State University Cougars, had a knack for teasing, and was loved by everyone she touched. She always enjoyed her family and was a proud charter member of Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Russ and Pat. She is survived by her brothers Jim and Larry, sister in law Kelly, nieces Jenny, Kassy, Kirstin and Katie, along with many cousins. She is also survived by her loving Aunt and Uncle Judy and Don. Julie will be missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverton Women’s Home where Julie was provided with incredible love, care and support. A memorial service and interment will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 16th at Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church in Yuma, AZ. Condolences and memories may be left at www.serenityfhs.com. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to your local Special Olympics or to a charity of your choosing.
