Kendra Madison Romero Gamez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kendra Madison Romero Gámez nació un 18 de marzo de 2010 en la ciudad de México, siendo ella la tercera de cinco hijos de Edgar Miguel Angel Romero Juárez y de Carmen Cecilia Gámez Delgadillo. Desde pequeña ella tuvo un carácter determinado el cual le ayudaría a pasar diversas pruebas y a la vez mantenerse firme en cada creencia que ella tuvo. Kendra siempre vivió con gran intensidad por lo que los días que estaba feliz ella expresaba que eran “el mejor día de su vida”. Kendra disfrutaba mucho de hacer figuras de origami, armar legos, cantar, bailar, viajar a la playa, así como jugar con sus hermanos y amigos. Ella siempre tuvo el sueño y la determinación de convertirse en astronauta. Una pequeña de carácter fuerte, valiente y osada, una misionera grandiosa que no temía hablar del Evangelio y de su fe con los demás. Conservó su testimonio y lo hizo crecer mucho más en el último año de su vida. Sus grandes anhelos eran servir como misionera en La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, conocer un buen joven y casarse en el templo, tener hijos y ser abuelita. A los 9 años fue diagnosticada con un cáncer agresivo el cual afrontaría con una fortaleza extraordinaria dejándonos un ejemplo de resiliencia, amor por la vida y sobre todo confianza y esperanza en Dios. Después de 3 años de lucha con la enfermedad, Kendra falleció el 28 de julio de 2022 en la ciudad de Herriman, Utah en casa rodeada por sus padres y hermanos. Kendra será recordada con gran amor por sus padres (Miguel y Cecy), sus 4 hermanos (Audrey, Miguel, Kenneth y Lexie) así como por sus 5 tíos y primos maternos y su abuela y tía abuela paterna que le sobreviven. Dejó muchos amigos de su escuela, de su barrio en la Iglesia en Mexico y otros que iba haciendo por el camino. She is the third of five children born to Edgar Miguel Angel Romero Juarez and Carmen Cecilia Gamez Delgadillo. She was a very determined person even from a young age her character would help her deal with adversities to stay firm in her believes. Kendra always lived with great intensity and when having a good day she would say “today is the best day of my life”. Kendra enjoyed making origami figures, building legos, singing, dancing, going to the beach, playing with her siblings and friends. She had a dream and determination to become an astronaut. She was a little girl with strong character, courageous and daring, a great missionary without fear to share the Gospel and her faith with others. She grew and kept her testimony specially during her last year of life. Her great aspirations were to serve as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to meet a great young man to marry in the temple, to have children and become a grandmother. When she was 9 years old she was diagnosed with an aggressive kind of cancer she would face with an extraordinary strength leaving us with an example of resilience, love for live, trust and hope in God. After a hard battle for 3 years Kendra passed away on July 28, 2022 in Herriman, Utah, at home, surrounded by her parents and siblings. Kendra will be remembered with much love by her parents (Miguel & Cecy), her 4 siblings (Audrey, Miguel, Kenneth and Lexie), her 5 uncles and aunts, her maternal cousins, her grandma and paternal great aunt who she is survived by. She leaves behind many friends from school, from church at her ward in Mexico and other friends she made along the way. Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 12, 2022.
