Kenneth Blaine Snarr
April 15, 1939 - July 16, 2016
On July 16, 2016 at 9:30 am, surrounded by his loving family, Kenneth Blaine Snarr, son of Kenneth and Afton Snarr, died at the age of 77 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lela Gwen Leavitt , his seven children; Scott (DeAnn) Snarr, Randy (Janice) Snarr, Kristie (Bryce) Hougaard, Kim (Terrence) Riffle, Kenny (Daphne) Snarr, Stacy (Erick) Mortensen, Jason (Courtney) Snarr and 26 grand children who all believe they are grandpa's favorite. He is also survived by his sisters Dellene Grasmick and Nancy (Eddie) Cameron and his brother Dee (Jerri) Snarr. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Levi Snarr and Afton LaVern Gibbons and his brother Darwin Snarr. Blaine was born April 15, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He married his sweetheart Lela Gwen Leavitt for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 30, 1962 and they've lived in Orem, Utah since 1984. Blaine was an active member of the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a faithful LDS Mission in the Central States Mission. Blaine served in the Air Force as a young man and was deployed during the Vietnam War. He loved planes, grand kids, sporting events, BYU sports, and his family. If you weren't great friends with Blaine, it was only because you didn't have the opportunity to have him introduce himself to you, ask you about your life story, give your kids a model airplane, or tell you a joke. Blaine will be deeply missed by his family, friends and the community. A viewing will be on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LDS Stake Center located at 400 West 1800 South Orem, Utah. Funeral services will be on Friday July 22, 2016, viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and the funeral will begin at 11:00 am at the LDS Stake Center located at 400 West 1800 South Orem, Utah.
