Leon Ralph McCall

December 13, 1953 - August 11, 2016

Leon Ralph McCall, 62, passed away on August 11, 2016. Ralph was born December 13, 1953. He married his high school sweet heart Susan. He loved the small town life of Delta and growing up in the desert. He was proud to be the forward on Delta’s only State championship basketball team in 1972. Ralph has always loved flying and everything to do with airplanes. He proudly served his country in the Air Force for 6 years. He was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho and Upper Heyford, England. He served in the Boy Scouts for 23 years and the Special Needs Mutual for over 10 years. His love for the youth impacted countless lives. He enjoyed many years serving in the temple, and was blessed for the last several years to serve on the Kearns South Stake High Council where he made many friends in the stake. He loved spending time with his family, camping, guns, being outdoors, four-wheeling, motorcycles and Man Camp with his friends. Ralph loved his country and was proud to serve as a State Delegate for the Republican Party. He graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Electronic Engineering and worked at Abbott Labs and Becton Dickinson. His wisdom and love of learning have been a wonderful example to his children, grandchildren and all who met him. His selfless examples of service will not be forgotten. Ralph fought the strong fight and did more than endure to the end. He was a valiant servant of God and looked forward to the next life. He was not afraid to die, as he knew what is on the other side. The family appreciates all those who have offered countless prayers, acts of kindness and service. We are blessed to have you all in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Susan; his 6 children Amber and Rachael (deceased), Bryant and Melody McCall, Diane and Cade Call, Rick and Kristin McCall, and Heather McCall Johnson; 8 grandchildren, Cailin, Grace, Benton, Connor, Lillian, Brynn, Miles and Annabelle; his sisters Kathryn Winterton and Pam Alexander.
