Lita Mae Kuehn

December 1, 1931 - September 25, 2019

Lita Mae Bailey Kuehn peacefully passed away on September 25, 2019, in the loving community of the Ashford Assisted Living and Memory Care of Draper in Utah. She was born December 1, 1931, in Floral Park, New York, and was raised in North Merrick, New York, as an only child by her parents Percy and Lily Bailey. She was surrounded by a large, loving extended family. She is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis Shaughnessy and Tracey Kuehn and also by her grandchildren, Michael Shaughnessy, Kiera Ririe and Kayleigh Jardine. As a devoted great-grandmother she is also survived by Aiden Shaughnessy, Ellie Shaughnessy, Oliver Ririe, Miles Ririe, Hudson Ririe and Isla Ririe. She was preceded in death two years ago by her beloved husband, Edward Kuehn. They were married for 61 years. Lita was known for her kindness and sweet disposition. She had a beautiful smile which matched her illustrious singing voice. She was a lover of animals, flowers, baseball, football, tennis, crossword puzzles, tennis, antiques, cop shows, mystery novels and holidays. She especially delighted in the company of friends and family. A memorial service will take place at the Ashford Assisted Living and Memory Care Center located at 14178 S. Bangerter Pkwy., Draper, UT 84020 on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 3:00 PM in the activities room located on the 2nd floor. Her family wants to extend a big thank you for all of the expressions of sympathy, love and caring during this difficult time. They also would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and friends at Ashford and Bristol for their extraordinary kindness, support, and friendship.
