Ma'ata Toakase Fevaleaki Finau

April 17, 1984 - March 30, 2014

Ma’ata Toakase Fevaleaki Finau was welcomed home with open arms on March 30, 2014. Her physical body is free from pain and suffering. She will always be remembered by her “boss/go-getter” attitude, determination, perseverance, and much more. She has overcome so many obstacles. Doctors believed she would not live an active life, yet she did. She was told she cannot bare a child, yet she did. She is someone that if you told her, "you cannot do this"…she would prove you wrong. She loved to be around family. She was always the last person to sit during family gatherings, even if she was sick. She was simply one of a kind. She accepted anyone and everyone as family…She loved unconditionally. She is our angel. Go and soar with angels. We were beyond grateful that we were chosen to be your brother, sister, son, husband, mom, dad, nephew, niece, grandma and grandpa. From this life to the next, family always. Fly in Heaven Ma’ata. Send my love to the rest of our angels. We will forever miss you. Until we meet again. She is survived by her husband Timote Fangalahi Finau and son Seti, parents Michael & Losepina Leilua, Seleti & Seini Fevaleaki, and late Mineva Reef Sekona & Sosiua Toki Finau. Siblings: Cindy (Mone), Mele (Neal), Lani (Melissa), Lisiate (Cherise), Lisa, Lina (Tu’ulaki), Losepina, Tariu, Seleti, Tevita, Vaha, Brenda (Neal), Fusi (P.J.), Peti, Joey, and C.J. Nieces & nephews: Losepina, Losaline, Caydance Leilani, Lota, Andrew, Lisiate Jr., Abriana, Phoenix, Tautaioleua, Trey, Kobe, Mineva, Loiola, and Laione. Family Services to be held April 3, 2014 at the River 2nd Ward Chapel located at 1380 West 6785 South, West Jordan, UT 84084 from 8:30am until 12:30. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm. Ma’ata’s final resting place will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery at 2:00pm. 6500 S Redwood Road Taylorsville, UT 84129 Services are under the direction of Peni Malohifo’ou of Serenity Funeral Home.
