Marc Craig Fessler

Marc Craig Fessler, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 19th in North Salt Lake, Utah. Marc was born December 7, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Josephine P. (Anderson) Fessler and Elmer O. Fessler. Marc enlisted in the Marine Corps at 18 and served two tours in Vietnam. He was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Marc was a "born salesman" and had a successful career in the car business and other sales positions following his service in the Marine Corps. Marc loved telling and hearing jokes. He could make you laugh with the simplest sentence and was quick witted. He loved animals and was a proud donor to many rescue charities. He was extremely generous with his love and kindness and would have done anything to help anybody. Marc was a loving and devoted father. He is survived by his sons, Matt Brynie (Tonya) in Austin, Texas and Chance Fessler (KyLee) in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had 2 grandchildren, Robyn Gragg (Aaron) and Jake Brynie. Marc was the 6th of 10 children. He is survived by three brothers, Brad, Wade (Pat), both of Des Moines, Iowa, and Skip in Ozark, Missouri. As well as two sisters, Linda Joray in Edmond, Oklahoma and Susan Fessler (Bill) in Huxley, Iowa. Marc has numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Marc was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jim Anderson and Wes Fessler (Marilyn), and two sisters Barbara Stephens and Jolene Clover. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 29th at 2:00 PM at Camp Williams, Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Bluffdale, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution be made in honor of Marc and his military service to a veteran's organization of your choice.
