Marilyn Joyce Jackson Taylor

January 7, 1934 - July 17, 2016

Let there be rejoicing for Marilyn Joyce Jackson Taylor, at the age of 82, on July 17, 2016 passed through the veil to be re-united with her husband R. Wesley Taylor whom she wed June 26, 1951 in Salt Lake City. We are sure that her parents Charles "J.T." Jackson and Eunice Emma McPheters, who proceeded her through the veil were there as well as many, many others she loved. She left this life after suffering much in body and spirit. Her body racked with Post Polio Syndrome and a mind that started to fail her in her memories. Even with all these physical trials, she was happy and grateful to her Father in Heaven for her life and posterity. Marilyn was a unique individual to all who knew her well. From the beginning of her life she was destined to make a mark upon us all. Suffering childhood Polio and not knowing if she could ever have children, she bore and raised four boys and a daughter. Rulon Wesley Taylor III, James Kevin Taylor, Timothy Sean Taylor, Ronald Samuel Taylor, Kimberly Ann Taylor Thomson. From all these children she has 17 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. All are grateful for the nurturing, teaching, guidance, correction, and loving care she gave us all. She was lovingly cared for by her daughter Kimberly and her family as she finished her time on earth, sealing a special connection they had for each other. It was her wish to be with family to the end and so she was, surrounded by those that love her as she parted this life. As a faithful wife she supported her husband in his various business pursuits and church callings, all while raising four very energetic boys and a girl, as well as serving her Father in Heaven in the many church callings she had which are too numerous to mention. She had a love of the outdoors, snowmobiling, boating, camping, swimming, and painting pictures of the places she loved most and had a love of music and singing which she used to bless many lives. Christmas was her favorite time of year extending to the rest of the year with music and decorations about the house. She was generous with her time and loved to assist others as needed at times she was even a doctor and nurse and sometimes surgeon to neighbors, friends and family. She was never afraid to try anything or to help anyone. Please join us to celebrate her life Friday July 29, 2016 at 11am at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery 17111 South 1700 West (Redwood Road) Riverton, UT. There will be a short graveside service in the memorial chapel at this location. Please bring your own shovel. Please take some time to share your memories and condolences for Marilyn, Mom, Grandma, at www.serenityfhs.com and www.serenitystg.com
