Scott John Wood

August 15, 1959 - March 12, 2022

Scott John Wood, 62, passed away on March 12, 2022 in Salt Lake City Utah. He was born August 15, 1959 in Salt Lake City to Robert B. and Darlene P. Wood. Scott lived most of his younger life in Bountiful Utah and graduated from Bountiful High School. He enjoyed life in Bountiful during his formative, teenage and early adult years. He made friends easily and was known for having a big and tender heart by his family and friends. Being a man of large stature, he could be intimidating to some until he opened his mouth with a greeting, his arms for an embrace or his heart to comfort. Scott enjoyed hunting and fishing and life at the family cabin and the outdoors. Scott worked in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning business as a technician most of his life. Scott is survived by his mother, Darlene Wood, his brother Bruce Wood (Anna), his sister Julie Hendricks (Richard) and three children, Jennifer, Michelle and Jacob. Scott is preceded in death by his father Robert B. Wood and his former wife Barbara Gilbert Wood. A special recognition and thanks to his case worker Jessica Diaz for many countless hours of service and compassionate care for Scott. Also, special thanks to Bristol Hospice and their staff. A family moment and viewing will be held from 1:00- 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Serenity Funeral Home located at 13863 S 2700 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065.
