William Leslie Stemmoms passed away November 26, 2017 at his home In Sandy, Utah. He was born November 26, 1938 in Salina, Sevier County, Utah to Leonard Leo Stemmons and Phyllis Heath. William married Geraldine Davenport in Salt Lake City, Utah January 27, 1965. He graduated in 1957 from Miller High School, Missouri. Was in the United States Navy from December 1957 – November 1961. Served a Southwest Indian Mission from January 1962 – February 1964. Graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of Science Degree. Electrical Engineer in August of 1969. He worked as a Vocational Instructor with the Provo School District from 1969 – 1973. Self-employed with “Electrowest” from 1973 – 1975. He earned “Licensed Master Electrician” and Self – Employed “Phase 3 Electric” from 1976 – 1979. 1980: Atkinson Industries in Pittsburg, KS as an Engineering Manager 1985: O’Sullivan Industries in Lamar, MO as Manufacturing Engineer Manager 1988: Retired 2004: FMC Airport Systems in Ogden, UT as an Electrical Engineer. 1995: Invented: VASI (means basis or core) for commercial use. 2004 – 2010: Intertek, part – time inspector. William is survived by his wife, Geraldine Stemmons, Children, Leonard Davenport Stemmons, Russ Davenport Stemmons, Jolene Nani Stemmons Lingwall Doten. Preceded in Death by his Father, Leonard Leo Stemmons, Mother, Phyllis Heath.
